The Conficker virus is gaining some notoriety due to some recent news articles and television shows. Lots of misinformation has been spread about what it is, how it works, and how to protect yourself from it. I am not going to go over all the issues, but the best method to prevent infection is to Windows updates as they come out. If you already do this, you are likely safe.
